LWV- Why Passion for children?
At LWV our passionate desire for the vulnerable are driven by the biblical passage in James 1:27. We think and act like children a lot. We are children in our actions! We love and help children to do better as we amplify their voices in all communities we work. We act exemplary and Christ like while dealing with children.
Our LWV Biblical view about Children.
Much as we belief, know, act and love children, we are very much aware that our love, care can never be at the level of God’s love and care for them. We believe that Jesus was and still is with the children in every corner of the globe and is busy working hard to sustain them wherever they are showing them love and compassion

Our heart desire is that whatever we do, should always be guided by God’s word and his abundant unfailing and unconditional love for children.
Below are some key biblical verses that motivates and reminds us about God’s love and care for children and it has become a constant reminder the importance of children .Sons are heritage from the Lord, Children a reward from him
Psalms 127:3. We take the word heritage to mean the value passage from one generation to another in our own understanding. From the lips of children and infants, you have ordain the praise of your enemies to silence the foe and the avenger’. This means silence the foolish and the enemies .
Psalms 8:2 The story of Jesus and the children. Many people were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them but the disciples were rebuking them
Mark 10:13 – 16 Fathers do not exasperate your children, instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Matthew 18:1-5 says “At the same time the disciples came to Jesus and asked. Who then is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven? He called a little child to him and place the child among them and said “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children; you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever like this little child is the greatest in heaven.
Matthew 18:10 see that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angles in heaven always see the face of my father in heaven.
James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. As LWV, we can’t talk of being Christians and then do the opposite.
